July report (Vancouver, WA)

Ion traveled to the state of Washington, where he led a four day retreat with people from Emanuel Slavic church.  This retreat was organized by one of the ILT trainees, Andrey Savin, the associate pastor of Emanuel Slavic church of Vancouver, WA. post-report2012_1 Then on Sunday, Ion was invited to preach in two churches and in the evening he held a leadership seminar. From that seminar he went directly to the airport, completely tired but absolutely happy for the determination of those students to go and apply what they learned. post-report2012_2 Here are two encouraging results from the trip.
  • Following the seminar, four individuals came to Ion to tell him that they have been praying to God for an answer concerning their ministry. Now they think they received the answer. The character of our ministry is such that you never know the effectiveness of your investment until you see people who actually apply the teaching.
  • Also, the church covered our travel expenses and even made an additional love offering to ILT, which is a big step for a Russian church.
Please continue to pray for Andrey Savin who is passing through a very difficult time of his life. And pray for those people who committed to go and begin discipleship groups with non-believers.
