The Power of the Resurrection
The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Epistle to the Philippians (chapter 3), says that his greatest passion is to know Christ and the power of His resurrection.
Today, April 8, after 15 meetings with a man from Turkey (I cannot disclose his name), I experienced a special joy. After another lesson, this man knelt down and, with tears, made a covenant with God through repentance.
This journey of discovery is unique in that the person is not given ready-made information. Instead, he personally discovers God’s love and His plan of salvation through studying a sequence of Scripture passages we call “from creation to the cross.”
Through simple Bible reading and four questions:
— What did I learn about God?
— What did I learn about people?
— What is one application I will take this week? (“I will…”)
— Whom will I share this passage with?
people learn to be doers of the Word, not forgetful hearers. Heaven rejoices—rejoice with me as well.
